"Some people are so busy
wishing for a better life that
they miss out
on the one that they have." ~Tigress Luv
is said that we may not be able to open the gates of Heaven to let us in, but
that we can open the gates of Hell to let us out. By keeping an open mind to a
future that may be different than the one we 'imagined' we release ourselves
from a self-imposed Hell; we open the gates and let our pain out. We open the
gates and let the positive side of life back in. Even if we don't find our
Heaven we still will have released our Hell.
When we continuously shape our present moment and our every thought by negative
events that happened in our past we end up a prisoner to our pain. When we
carelessly refuse to be happy in our 'now' moments because our future isn't
going as we had planned, we end up bitter, unhappy and angry; living every day
in our 'self-imposed' Hell.
Today I will see how -- by the very nature of my pain brought on by events in
my past -- I may have closed my mind to a future different than the one I had
planned. Today I will remember that by keeping an open mind to a 'change of
plans' that I am inviting positive things back into my life, and I am allowing
painful thoughts influenced by past negative experiences out.
Today give me the strength that can be found in defeat by allowing me to let go
of my idealistic expectations and to just allow my future to play out the way
it may. Today I will take pleasure in the 'now moment' and stop trying to
control the 'next moment'. I will let go of 'envisioning' a certain type of
future and I will stop reliving a certain type of past.
Today I will let the glory of life take me where it wants me to be. ~~
"Religion is for
people who are scared to go to hell.
is for people who have already been there." ~Bonnie Raitt

happiness based upon his
also builds his own coffin." ~Tigress Luv
